Noted Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was killed by gangsters in an attack near his ancestral village Jawaharke in district Mansa, Punjab on Sunday.

Tuesday and subsequently took part in the procession 

The artist was shot dead in Punjab on Sunday, and post his untimely death, everyone was left in a state of utter shock.

The singer’s death has left not only the Punjab entertainment industry traumatized but Bollywood celebrities also found it hard to process the news. Actor Ajay Devgn said that he is stunned by the shocking death of #SidhuMoosewala and is still trying to wrap his head around this one.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted: deeply shocked and saddened by the murder of promising Congress leader and talented artist. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans from across the world.

Actress Shehnaaz Gil said that it is the greatest sorrow to say goodbye to a young soul.

HOW IT HAS HAPPENED

The singer was out in his jeep with two other men near his native village of Jawaharke in Mansa district. Eight around 30 bullets fired by the gunmen hit the Punjabi rapper. Sidhu Moose Wala was travelling with his two friends and didn’t take his bulletproof car and gunman.

MOOSEWALA was among the 424 VIPs who lost their security cover as part of the Bhawant Mann Governments exercise to crack down on VIP culture.

He has left with two Punjab Police commandos after the state police withdrew two of four commandos from his security cover. However moosewala neither took the remaining two commandos with him nor his bullet-proof on the day of his death.

Punjab state’s top police official VK Bhawra said the initial investigation had revealed the killing to be the result of an inter-gang rivalry. A special Investigation Team (SIT) formed under the supervision of Mansa who is Superintendent of Police is probing into all aspects which are involved in the murder of singer.

Punjab police claims that Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and their associates are behind Sidhu Moose Wala’s killing. Police has said that they are probing the role of groups of gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar as they have taken responsibility for the incident.

WHO IS SIDHU MOOSEWALA

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu better known by his stage name Sidhu Moose Wala who was an Indian Singer, rapper, actor and politician associated with Punjabi music and Punjabi cinema. He has started his career as a songwriter for the song “License” by Ninja and began his singing career on a duet son titles “G Wagon”

He hailed from a farmer’s background and his father, Balkaur Singh, is a retired government employee and a farmer, while mother Charan Kaur is a sarpanch of Moosa village. from Mansa’s Moosa village. Coming to his studies he was an electrical engineer who graduated in 2016from Ludhina’s Guru Nanak Deve Engineering College. 

Moosewala gained popularity with one of his famous track called ‘So High’. And his famous song Bambiha Bole song entered the top 5 on the global YouTube music chart. Recently he has released tracks known as Moose tape tracks which also gained global popularity. Sidhu moosewals’s songs mostly highlighted the Jat Sikh community.

CONTRAVERSIES ON SIDHU

Moosewala has always shown some different aspects through his songs. Because of this he often goes into controversy.  Sidhu was once booked under Arms act and also fined for using black tinted glasses in Nabha. After these incidents Sidhu released a song called ‘Sanju’ in July 2020 in which it has showed that the complaints which were given against him were badges of honour

The song called Space Goat showing voters as traitors. Because of lost of seat in assembly elections.

MOOSEWALA DURING FARMER’S AGITATION IN PUNJAB:

The first singer who come front to support farmers during their fight against three farm laws. He had actively participated in the agitation like saying to people to stay indoors during first lockdown.

MOOSEWALA ENTRY INTO POLITICS

Moosewala joined the Congress in the run up to the Punjab Assembly polls and fought from Mansa. He has joined politics to raise people’s voice, transform system. However he, too, like many other candidates, lost in the AAP’s statewide wave. Despite losing the polls, Moosewala continued meeting people and listening to their grievances.

THE END OF A GREAT SINGER

 Sidhu Moose Wala’s death came as shock to his fans and celebrities, who took to social media to express their grief. Many fans also discovered similarities with the singer’s last song, The Last Ride, and his death. Fans went on to closely observe his song and lyrics and noted that somehow the singer foretold his death, where the lyrics read that he has been shot dead and the glow on his face says his funeral will take place in his youth. And the other coincidence is that the track number of his song and the date on which he died were same i.e., Track 295 and the date and month 29-5.

 Punjab government stated that the state government would fully cooperate in the probe into his death and that no one responsible would be spared.

Rest In Peace Sidhu Moosewala, though he is no more in this world but his songs and his activities for people will remain forever.
